1. Who we are
Micro ("Micro", "we", "us") is a mobile application published by Moon Shard Ltd. This policy explains what information the app handles and why. If you have questions, contact us at support@moonshard.co.
2. We don't use accounts
Micro does not require you to create an account, sign in, or give us your name, email, or phone number to use the app. We do not assign you a persistent user identifier.
3. Information stored on your device
The following is created and kept locally on your device, in the app's private storage. We do not receive a copy:
- Your onboarding answers — such as your niche, follower range, goal, and how often you post. Used to tailor the app's language and estimates.
- Your TikTok username, if you choose to enter it. It is optional and stored on your device to personalize your experience.
- Your analyses — the scores, findings, and extracted frames from videos you analyze.
- Posts you choose to track — any links or view counts you enter manually. We never scrape or fetch your view counts automatically.
Deleting the app removes this on-device data.
4. Video analysis and the data that leaves your device
Micro analyzes a video in two stages:
a. On-device analysis
The core, deterministic analysis (pacing, cuts, on-screen text and safe-zone geometry, audio levels, speech pace) runs entirely on your device using Apple's on-device frameworks. This stage does not send your video anywhere.
b. Cloud qualitative read (when you run an analysis)
To add a qualitative read, the specific video you choose to analyze is uploaded over an encrypted connection to our analysis service, which forwards it to Google's Gemini API for processing. Along with the video we send limited context you provided — for example your niche and follower range, and, when available, a transcript and the measured signals above. The uploaded video file is processed transiently and deleted from the analysis service after the read completes. Google processes the content as our service provider under Google's terms; we do not use it to train models. The demonstration analysis shown during onboarding is pre-made and does not upload anything.
5. Service providers
- Google (Gemini API) — performs the qualitative read on the video you submit for analysis.
- Cloudflare — hosts our analysis service. It processes analysis requests and may log standard technical request metadata (such as IP address and timing) to operate and secure the service.
- Apple — provides the App Store and processes your subscription. See "Subscriptions" below.
6. Photos access
When you pick a video to analyze, the app asks for access to your photo library so you can choose that video. Micro only reads the item(s) you select for analysis; it does not scan or upload your library.
7. Subscriptions and payments
Subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple through the App Store. Micro never receives your card number or payment details. Apple provides us with the subscription status needed to unlock features and with aggregate, non-identifying sales information, in line with Apple's own privacy policy.
8. What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your personal information.
- We do not show third-party advertising or use advertising identifiers.
- We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
- We do not scrape your social accounts or fetch your view counts on your behalf.
9. Data retention
On-device data stays until you delete it or delete the app. Videos uploaded for the qualitative read are deleted from our analysis service after processing. Technical logs held by our service providers are retained for a limited period under their standard practices.
10. Your rights
Because Micro keeps your content on your device and does not tie it to an account, you can view, change, or erase it directly in the app or by deleting the app. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal data, and to object to it. To make a request about any data our service providers may hold, email support@moonshard.co. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of in that regard.
11. Children
Micro is not directed to children. You must be at least 17 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use it. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
12. Security
Data in transit is encrypted with HTTPS, and requests to our analysis service are gated by an application key. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
13. International processing
Our service providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above and, where appropriate, noted in the app.
